Code of Conduct

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Faithful Church Membership

Each student is required to be a faithful member of an independent Bible believing (KJV) Baptist Church, unless there are extenuating circumstances preventing such involvement. The name, address, website, and pastor’s name must be included along with the student’s application for enrollment. Students who are not able to be a part of a Bible-believing, independent Baptist church must explain their specific situation in detail during the application process.

Loyal United States Citizen

Involvement with any subversive activities against the United States Government is strictly forbidden. TBDI does not support any individual, group, or church that is involved in any anti-government activities.

The Bible says in Romans 13:1-2, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”

Furthermore, in Romans 13:6 the Bible says, “For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s minister’s, attending continually upon this very thing.”

Although we may not always agree with the policies of the United States Government, we are commanded in the Bible to be “subject” to them, and to pay our taxes. Peter says in I Peter 2:13-15 that it is the “will of God” for us to “submit” ourselves to “every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.”

Personal Testimony and Accountability

Students are required to abstain from the use of tobacco in any form, alcoholic drinks, and illegal drugs. Students are also expected to refrain from secular entertainment that would be considered carnal, a bad testimony, or even “questionable.” Students are expected to exercise general Christian conduct at all times.

The courses are taken on the honor system. Even though there is no classroom or instructors present, the Lord sees all that you do (Proverbs 15:3) and you will meet your actions either here (Numbers 32:23) or at the Judgment Seat of Christ (Romans 14:12).

Academic Integrity

Students are forbidden to use ChatGPT or other similar AI tools for research, writing assignments, or sermon outlines. Using these tools is considered a form of plagiarism and cheating; and is cause for dismissal.
